Associate (Tax & Customs Litigation)

We invite you to join the Arzinger team for the Associate position in Tax & Customs Litigation Practice. 

Responsibilities:

• advising clients on tax and customs issues arising at the Ukrainian and international levels;
• research on various Ukrainian law legal matters;
• drafting necessary documents (memoranda, legal opinions, agreements, position papers, claims, motions, appeals, etc.);
• interacting with state authorities, participation in court hearings as requested;
• PR activity (publications, comments, conferences etc.);
• monitoring legislative changes and court practice;
• general legal support for projects of the practice.

Requirements:

• degree in Law or International Law from a top tier University;
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a top-tier law firm or as an in-house lawyer (preferably in the agricultural sector);
• attorney's license is a must;
• knowledge and understanding of Ukrainian tax, customs, commercial law;
• excellent knowledge of Ukrainian criminal & administrative procedure codes;
• upper-intermediate English is obligatory;
• previous experience with agricultural sector will be a strong advantage;
• proficient drafting of analytical, procedural and commercial documents;
• high level of presentation, time management, prioritization;
• ability to work with extensive information volumes in short terms under high pressure;
• strong analytical thinking and interpersonal skills.
