Regulatory Affairs Manager, DTEK Renewable Energy

Responsibilities

• Monitoring, analysis, preparation of SWOT analysis of the impact of draft regulations on the renewable energy sector;
• Preparation of comments and proposals for draft regulatory legal acts, their submission, participation in open discussions;
• Participation in the development of a strategy for promoting regulatory initiatives;
• Analysis of risks, opportunities and impact (economic, legal, regulatory, technical consequences, etc.) of decisions and intentions of government authorities on the Company and the renewable energy sector;
• Analysis of foreign legislation and preparation of recommendations for their implementation into national legislation in the field of renewable energy and the electricity market;
• Participation in working groups created at Ukrenergo, NEURC, and executive authorities on renewable energy issues;
• Providing recommendations and justifications for the formation of a plan for the development of regulatory changes in the field of renewable energy;
• Formation of an evidence base and analytical materials for claims and lawsuits and other appeals to state bodies/non-state institutions, including international ones;
• Preparation of technical tasks, information and materials for research, preparation of analytical and presentation materials;
• Preparation of draft letters, complaints, appeals, and statements.
  
  

Requirements

• Higher legal education;
• Experience in government agencies and companies/in consulting/project management/private companies in the areas of regulatory support of activities or interaction with government authorities (for example, in areas of the economy where there is a national regulator) or
• Experience in legal/regulatory support of business activities is related, in particular, but not exclusively, to decisions and activities of state bodies and Regulators (for example, support of inspections, judicial or administrative appeal of decisions, conducting negotiations, developing proposals for amendments to regulatory acts, etc.);
• Experience in the energy sector or in sectors related to the electricity market, experience in forming position/analytical documents, regulatory design, and promoting changes to regulatory acts will be an advantage;
• Ability to concisely and accurately formulate a position orally and in writing;
• Skills in preparing presentation materials and analytical reports;
• Strong analytical skills, systematicity, self-organization;
• Initiative, ability to work in a team and independently;
• Intelligence, the presence of a versatile worldview (including outside the sphere of main professional activity);
• Ability to respond quickly to changes, concentrate on achieving goals, stress resistance;
• Knowledge of English at level B2 and above.
