Job Description

Korn Ferry Ukraine seeks to hire an Associate Principal to join the Organizational Strategy team in Ukraine. We’re looking for people who understand how governance, pay, and skills come together - how to build the people system in a way that enables unlocking potential, productivity, engagement, and performance. We are looking for people who see business in the context of organization design, total reward, performance management, and operating models—who know how to pull the levers to make the organization work better.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Deliver high-impact organizational strategy solutions — including operating model design, total rewards optimization, performance management enhancement, and organizational structure reengineering. Collaborate as part of project teams to develop effective governance frameworks across diverse clients and industries. At the Principal level, take the lead on complex, customized engagements that drive measurable business value. Serve as a subject matter expert at the national and/or global level, contributing thought leadership and expertise to Korn Ferry’s broader advisory practice.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Business Development

  • Work closely with the Associate Client Partner to align client strategies with overall business objectives and implement client-specific plans that drive growth and satisfaction.
  • Develop and grow profitable client relationships through strategic account management and cross-functional collaboration across the Korn Ferry enterprise. Regularly update the Associate Client Partner on client progress, challenges, and opportunities to ensure seamless communication and strategic alignment. Serve as the primary relationship manager for large and complex clients, including those with international operations and cross-border needs.
  • Identify new business opportunities, shape proposals, and define solution architecture for medium-to-large engagements.
  • Build strong relationships beyond technical stakeholders — engaging business leaders to increase client impact and unlock new opportunities.
  • Support major account teams in deepening client partnerships and expanding service delivery across Korn Ferry’s integrated offerings.

Strategic Advisory & Solution Design

  • Develop hypotheses about client challenges using business acumen, data insights, and industry knowledge.
  • Define and co-create strategic, innovative solutions tailored to the client's context, including leadership, structure, talent, and culture.
  • Design organizational health checks and diagnostics to uncover performance barriers and growth opportunities.
  • Translate strategic direction into fit-for-purpose organizational constructs, capabilities, and talent systems.
  • Scope and define organizational transformation interventions using expertise in org design, analytics, change management, and behavioural insights.

Project & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead the delivery of complex, multi-workstream projects — ensuring quality, timeliness, and measurable impact.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure engagement teams are empowered and aligned to meet or exceed delivery goals.
  • Monitor all aspects of engagement success, including client satisfaction, scope, profitability, communication, collaboration, and execution.
  • Facilitate critical conversations and workshops with clients, balancing stakeholder needs and guiding decisions.
  • Lead the QA and peer-review process within transformation and organizational strategy engagements.

Thought Leadership & Knowledge Contribution

  • Act as a subject matter professional in organizational design, performance management, and transformation.
  • Lead or contribute to thought leadership initiatives, research publications, and public speaking engagements at the national or international level.
  • Represent Korn Ferry’s brand and advisory point of view in industry forums
  • Contribute tools, frameworks, and best practices to Korn Ferry’s global knowledge base and advisory innovation efforts.

Team Development & Capability Building

  • Lead high-performing, development-rich project teams where people are coached, challenged, and supported to grow.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by encouraging open communication, sharing best practices, and supporting team members in achieving their goals.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of Korn Ferry’s consulting methodologies, frameworks, and commercial solutions.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • A relevant higher (Master’s) degree plus considerable (5+ years) relevant work experience in a consultancy and/or a client HR/OD function in progressively larger and more complex/high-impact client situations.
  • Significant experience in change management and leading project teams.
  • Technical depth in one or more of the following: change management, organization design, job architecture, total rewards, or workforce planning
  • Financial literacy, business acumen, and a profit-conscious mindset with the ability to analyze market data, interpret P&L information, and translate that information into meaningful action plans.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to proactively achieve goals and strategies under shifting conditions and with different tasks, job responsibilities, and people.
  • Fluency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with data analytics/visualization tools such as Power BI; experience in using organizational analytical tools (e.g., OrgVue, Dynaplan) is desired.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to clients in a professional, clear, concise, and engaging way
  • Ukrainian - native, English - fluent
