Lead Test Automation Engineer (Python)

We are searching for a Lead Test Automation Engineer with expertise in Python to strengthen our team.

This role involves designing and delivering automation and performance solutions, developing tools and frameworks, and executing test cases aligned with functional and design specifications. You will collaborate with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality business functionality. This position is an excellent opportunity to shape our testing strategy and implement efficient solutions for diverse testing needs.

Responsibilities

• Design automation and performance solutions that adhere to organizational standards, creating reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites and test harnesses
• Build tools and frameworks with quality code to streamline testing processes
• Write test plans and test cases based on functional and design specifications, execute them, and analyze outcomes
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of business functionality
• Provide leadership as a test lead, offering guidance and support to project team members
• Approve the testing artifacts of team members, including scripts, expected results, and defect descriptions
• Deliver effective testing solutions for Web, Services/APIs, and Database use cases
• Engage in internal and cross-team meetings, project planning, and technical reviews within an Agile framework
• Estimate quality efforts and assess risks to ensure quality delivery
• Analyze quality assurance metrics to draw actionable insights
  
  
  

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years in software testing, covering all phases like planning, execution, and closure
• At least 5 years of experience as an Automation QA Tester, with expertise in crafting and managing automation tests using Selenium (Python essential)
• Solid background in working with REST services and SOA architecture concepts
• Strong understanding of QA and testing methodologies and industry best practices
• Proficiency in advanced SQL for database queries
• Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git
• Background in test data management techniques
• Knowledge of change management and defect tracking tools
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred)
• A bachelor’s degree in a technology-related discipline
• English proficiency at B2+ level

• Background in containerized environments using Azure DevOps or Jenkins
• Expertise with the Tosca automation tool
• Familiarity with OData and SOAP technologies
• Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and testing for microservices, containers, and Dockers
• Understanding of functional programming principles and Data Virtualization tools like Denodo
