The Logistics/IT officer will work under the supervision of the Support Logistics Manager, with technical support from the Senior IT officer in Odesa to provide support for IT and Asset management within the Ukraine mission
Functions
Logistics:
- Undertake procurement for IT goods and services in line with ACTED procurement procedures;
- Responsible for carrying out inventories in Kyiv office, including both electronic assets and office furniture/equipment according to logistic procedures.
- Physical and electronic filing (scanning) of Logistics documentation in line with ACTED procedures;
- Provide the relevant documentation (receipts, acts of acceptance, signed agreements, etc.) is sent or received as required;
- Other tasks assigned by the line manager.
IT:
- Responsible for IT Asset Follow-Up report and Help desk
- Responsible for the final reports of assets and inventories for projects across Ukraine.
- Provide daily on-site support on the usage of software and hardware to the end-users across Ukraine, but in particular the Capital and North Areas.
- Supporting and installation of systems, network and software components.
- Ensure daily administration and troubleshooting on operational IT problems and providing assistance in finding relevant solutions, as well as periodic maintenance, repair and replacement of hardware components if needed.
- Maintain Microsoft Windows licenses validation and installment.
- Manage tracking licenses keys, HQ passwords verification.
- Other tasks assigned by the line manager.
- Occasional business trips to other offices.
Competencies
- ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS. Works in an organized manner; sets out priorities to finalize competing tasks on time.
- COMMUNICATION. Speaks and writes clearly and effectively; has solid communication skills; listens to others, correctly interprets messages from others and responds appropriately; asks questions to clarify and exhibits interest in having two-way communication; demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed.
- TEAMWORK. Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals; is willing to learn from others; places team agenda before personal agenda; supports and acts in accordance with final group decision, even when such decisions may not entirely reflect own position; shares credit for team accomplishments and accepts joint responsibility for team shortcomings.
- IT SKILLS. Understanding of the hardware used within a humanitarian mission, as well as the basic standards of data and software that need to be implemented.
Work Experience
- Have at least two (2) years of experience in logistics or similar field
- Bachelors degree in a technical (logistics/economics/management) or IT related field
- Experience with NGO would be an advantage.
Languages
Ukrainian and Russian (both oral and written), advanced level of English is an asset.
