Under operational and technical guidance of the Livelihoods and Economic Security Senior Project Officer, the Livelihoods and Economic Security Project Officer is responsible for contributing to proper implementation of Acted’s Credit Agricole-funded project “Prosperity through resilience: supporting vulnerable groups through Small Business and Household Livelihood Grants in conflict-affected areas of Ukraine”.   The project aims to improve economic prosperity for youth, women and the most vulnerable and marginalized people living in Ukraine, focusing on providing livelihood grants, small business grants and ongoing support, consultations and trainings.

The Livelihoods and Economic Security Project Officer will play a key role in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities in Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts. The position is based in Kyiv.

FUNCTIONS 

1. Contribute to project planning.
   1. Support the Senior Project Officer in the development of project implementation strategy, systems, methodologies, approaches, tools, and materials. 
   2. Support data collection and analysis for needs assessment and identification of target locations.
   3. Prepare and insure availability of necessary documentation for project implementation.

1. Contribute to effective project implementation.
   1. Contribute to the identification, assessment, and verification processes for beneficiary selection for activities under the project, including livelihood and small business grant distribution. 
   2. Participate to and run information / outreach sessions, provide mentoring and identify consultation and training needs for beneficiaries, with the support of the Senior Project Officer.
   3. Carry out other duties as requested by the Line Manager.

1. Internal and external relations
   1. Collaborate with Acted internal departments such as finance, logistics or compliance, when necessary  
   2. Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and leverage resources.
   3. Represent the organization at relevant meetings and events.

1. Monitoring and evaluation
   1. Conduct monitoring visits to beneficiaries.
   2. Coordinate with MEAL team to ensure all MEAL activities are implemented timely and fully.

1. Documentation and reporting 
   • Maintain accurate records of project activities and beneficiaries’ data.
   • Ensure appropriate record keeping, and transparent financial and logistical processes are properly followed. 
   • Ensure appropriate documentation of all processes and activities in which s.he is involved.
   • Provide weekly updates on project activities to the line manager. 
   • Report any delays/issues with project activities to the line manager.
