Description

Our client is the leading TV streaming platform in the US and Canada, used by advertisers to manage their online campaigns across all media channels, device platforms, advertising exchanges, manipulate data, and manage client’s services. We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to help ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of the internal Order Management System (OMS) that powers advertising operations end-to-end. This role plays a critical part in accelerating development cycles, regressions, and enabling scalable testing across complex workflows that span sales booking, campaign setup, delivery tracking, and billing integration.

Requirements

• 2.5+ years of experience in test automation for modern web applications (UI and API level);
• Good knowledge of concepts and theory of software testing and development life cycle;
• Proficiency with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent;
• Experience writing integration and functional tests using JavaScript/TypeScript;
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, and ability to validate request/response flows and data contracts;
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions;
• Ability to interpret business workflows and turn them into reusable test logic;
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and defect tracking tools (Ex: Jira, and TestRail);
• Excellent debugging, documentation, and communication skills;
  
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing CRM tools, or internal business tooling with complex workflows;
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or experience validating data transformations across services;
• Familiarity with mocking frameworks and test data management strategies;
• Exposure to ad tech, campaign management, or revenue reconciliation systems;
• Prior work in an agile environment with fast-moving development cycles and minimal documentation;
  
  
  

Job responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end automated tests for web-based applications (UI and API) using industry-standard frameworks.
• Partner with developers, product managers, and operations to understand user workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Build and maintain robust test suites that validate multi-step workflows, data transformations, and system integrations.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.
• Identify, isolate, and report defects clearly using structured test cases and logs.
• Contribute to test coverage metrics, automation strategy, and ongoing quality improvements across the Tarmac ecosystem.
• Maintain test data sets and mock environments that simulate real-world usage scenarios.
• Proactively raise risks, bottlenecks, or gaps in tooling and suggest scalable automation solutions.
