Description
As part of the ongoing effort to modernize the embedded software in advanced scientific equipment, this sub-project focuses on improving the software and firmware update process for factory-configured devices.
Currently, updates are applied manually in a sequential manner, which limits scalability and increases operational effort. This initiative aims to design and implement a (semi-)automated update mechanism capable of performing parallel deployments across multiple units, significantly reducing installation time and improving consistency.
Key goals include minimizing manual intervention, ensuring reliable version control and compatibility checks, and enabling efficient, scalable rollouts within production environments. The resulting system will enhance maintainability and operational efficiency for high-value devices in complex manufacturing workflows.
Requirements
More than 3 years experience as a DevOps
1+ years of Enterprise project experience
2+ years AWS experience
1+ years as a Lead.
Hands-on experience in continuous delivery and continuous integration of CI/CD pipelines
Ability to assess the requirement, and environment and suggest the right tools/ technologies
Hands-on experience on Kubernetes
Expertise in Debugging and providing solutions and workarounds
Knowledge of different monitoring and logging solutions available on Cloud, preferably on AWS
Excellent communication, presentation, and coding abilities
Managing and making project version control strategies
Verbal and written English – is a must
Good to have: the ability to participate in onsite meetings.
Job responsibilities
Prepare DevOps stratagy for the starting project
Be hands-on with CI/CD, provisioning of staging and production environments
Engineer the installation, configuration and tuning of cloud infrastructure components / kuber / etc
Unified CICD pipeline development
Work directly with other teams to build fine-tuned product deployments
Environments maintenance/patching/provisioning
Support internal teams requests
Environments troubleshooting
