Description

We are seeking a skilled, responsible, and communicative Manual QA Engineer to join our team. We are working on a web application that is part of an educational product ecosystem for our country and the USA.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of proved experience as a QA/QC Engineer;
  • Work experience in the Agile (Scrum) process;
  • Proved experience in manual testing (functional, non-functional) across the spectrum of acceptance criteria for user stories;
  • Strong understanding of various testing methods, test design techniques, and types;
  • Ability to determine and accurately estimate the testing scope based on the results of the performed decomposition of functionality;
  • Work experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools;
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed and well-structured test scripts and manage them optimally in test suites;
  • Good knowledge of client-server architecture (operating principles & impact on application functionality);
  • Good understanding of SDLC/STLC and CI/CD processes;
  • Experience in cross-platform/browser manual testing;
  • Extensive experience with tools such as DevTools, Charles Proxy/Proxyman, Postman, Swagger;
  • Work experience with IDE's or code editors (VSCode etc.);
  • Work experience with Git, Github
  • Good experience in writing complex SQL queries;
  • Ability to read and identify critical information with logs.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate and decompose tasks;
  • Develop and maintain detailed and well-structured test scripts based on provided requirements and general best practices, and manage them optimally in test suites;
  • Perform manual testing of web apps, sites across the spectrum of acceptance criteria for user stories;
  • Work closely with developers and managers to ensure high-quality deliverables;
  • Track issues and tasks with BTS and TMS;
  • Follow and improve existing testing processes;
  • Collaborate on quality assurance within the team.

Would be a plus

  • Experience or understanding of automation testing processes;
  • Experience in performance testing: load, stress, spike, endurance.
