Senior Appian Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Appian Developer.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in Appian development and hands-on leadership abilities. This role will bridge technical execution with strategic oversight, providing technical mentorship to the team while driving innovative, scalable solutions on the Appian platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Appian developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural guidelines
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust Appian applications
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Appian solutions, ensuring high-quality code and optimal performance
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and guide team members in problem resolution
• Oversee and manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables in an Agile environment
• Develop proof of concepts for new Appian functionalities and integrations to enhance business processes
• Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans
• Stay current with Appian platform updates and industry advancements, recommending process improvements and innovative approaches

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Appian development
• Strong command of Appian SAIL (Self-Assembling Interface Layer), process modeling, decision rules, and integrations
• Familiarity with Java, web services (REST/SOAP), and integration techniques to connect external systems with Appian applications
• Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a track record of delivering enterprise-level applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide clear solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor, lead, and inspire a diverse team
• Experience working in highly collaborative and fast-paced environments is a plus

Nice to have

• Certifications in Appian or related technologies
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) and implementing DevOps best practices
• Background in business process management (BPM) and digital transformation initiatives
