Senior Software Engineer (DBA & Cloud Migration)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer proficient in Database Administration and Cloud Migration to join our team.

You will play a critical role in ensuring database availability and stability while proactively identifying and resolving issues. Your expertise will support our database operations and maintenance activities, making a significant impact on our overall infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Ensure database availability and stability through proactive monitoring
• Identify and resolve issues while overseeing database operations
• Plan and support maintenance activities for optimal performance
• Perform root cause analysis when necessary to troubleshoot problems
• Communicate progress, issues, and difficulties to relevant parties
• Mentor junior staff to enhance their understanding of critical processes
• Review and sign off on database deployments for quality assurance
• Engage with architects and senior developers to support technical designs
• Install new database infrastructure and equipment as required
• Conduct thorough impact analysis of database activities on infrastructure
• Respond to issues and support calls in compliance with procedures
• Participate in On-Call rotation for off-peak hours and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Experience in supporting various Relational Database Management Systems
• Background in Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon Redshift
• Proficiency in Amazon Web Services and associated DBaaS technologies
• Understanding of database infrastructure maintenance and administration
• Capability to analyze and optimize database-related issues
• Experience in implementing Enterprise Database High Availability techniques
• Demonstration of technical knowledge across a broad range of technologies
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and independently
• Fluency in English for effective communication
