Job Title: E&S Manager (Environmental & Social Manager)

Job Summary 

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Environmental & Social (E&S) Manager to join our consulting team and support the delivery of sustainability, ESG, and impact-driven projects. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate environmental and social assessments, ensure compliance with international standards, and provide high-quality advisory services to our clients. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work across diverse sectors and international assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage environmental and social (E&S) project components to ensure compliance with IFC Performance Standards, EBRD Performance Requirements, World Bank ESS, and other international frameworks.

• Conduct E&S due diligence (ESDD), environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA/ESHIA), and stakeholder engagement processes (SEP).

• Prepare and implement Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAP) and Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP).

• Support clients in developing and implementing corporate ESG policies, procedures, and grievance redress mechanisms (GRM).

• Carry out E&S audits, monitoring visits, and reporting for international financial institutions (IFC, EBRD, EIB, FMO).

• Identify E&S risks in projects and supply chains, providing practical recommendations for mitigation and improvement.

• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, consultations, and community development initiatives.

• Prepare ESG, sustainability, and non-financial reports aligned with international standards (GRI, SDG, UN Global Compact, ESRS).

• Collaborate with clients, project teams, and external experts to ensure smooth communication and high-quality deliverables.

• Conduct research, data analysis, and benchmarking to inform project recommendations and reporting.

• Provide training and capacity-building workshops for clients and stakeholders on ESG, EHS, and sustainable development topics.

Competencies 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Science, Sustainable Development, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in environmental and social consulting, ESG, or sustainability management.

• Proven knowledge of IFC Performance Standards, EBRD PRs, World Bank ESS, ESRS, and GRI reporting.

• Strong skills in conducting audits, assessments, and stakeholder consultations.

• Experience preparing ESG and sustainability reports for international clients or financial institutions.

• Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills in English and Ukrainian; additional languages are an asset.

• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural teams.

• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally for project assignments.
