YOUR ROLE

CapGemini’s Experience Engineering team is growing and we are looking for talented technical artists. Our professional services team works across multiple platforms and industries, incorporating cutting edge technologies like XR, AI, robotics and IoT. We use the Unity engine to build custom software solutions in a wide range of technically diverse fields, including architecture, automotive, retail, entertainment and games.

As a Senior JavaScript Engineer with expertise in 3D modelling, you will be part of a dynamic team developing interactive, web-based visualization tools for subsurface data and engineering simulations. Your primary focus will be on building and optimizing 3D experiences using Three.js, integrating them into scalable web applications, and ensuring high performance across platforms.You will collaborate closely with UX designers, backend developers, and domain experts to translate complex data into intuitive visual interfaces. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that contribute directly to SLB’s digital innovation strategy.

YOUR TASKS

• Develop and maintain interactive 3D visualizations using Three.js for web-based engineering applications
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to create seamless, data-driven user experiences
• Integrate complex 3D models and datasets into performant, scalable web applications
• Optimize rendering performance across devices and browsers, ensuring smooth user interaction
• Implement custom shaders, lighting, and camera controls to enhance visual fidelity and realism
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape best practices for 3D web development
• Ensure availability to work until at least 22:00 UA time to maintain sufficient overlap with U.S. working hours
  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and asynchronous programming
• Hands-on experience with Three.js and WebGL for 3D rendering in the browser
• Knowledge of 3D geometry, lighting, materials, and camera controls
• Ability to optimize 3D scenes for performance and responsiveness
• Experience integrating 3D models (e.g., glTF, OBJ) and working with shaders
• Understanding of software design patterns, testing frameworks, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
