Grid Dynamics is launching a Big Data Retraining Program for Middle Data Engineers!

Are you passionate about data and ready to grow into large-scale, real-world Big Data projects?

We’re opening enrollment for a fully paid 3-month retraining program focused on Scala and Spark, designed to prepare engineers for long-term work with one of the leading U.S. technology companies

Responsibilities

This is a 95% hands-on training where participants work on a simulated production project, solving real engineering challenges such as:

• Building a data uploader for third-party integrations
• Developing and managing a schema registry
• Creating and maintaining ETL pipelines and triggers
• Implementing Airflow DAGs for ingestion and validation
• Monitoring data quality, metrics, and integrity
  
  

Participants will also receive mentoring, interview preparation, and soft-skills training to succeed in future client interactions.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Scala and Spark
• Knowledge of SQL
• AWS basic knowledge, preferably (or knowledge of any other cloud service)
• Level of English: Upper-Intermediate or higher
• Readiness to evening's calls with the client (till 21:00 EEST)

• Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, Flink, Druid
• Kafka
• MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, NoSQL, Cassandra, Hadoop

• AWS(EKS, IAM, S3, SNS, SQS, MSK etc), Docker, Kubernetes
• Theoretical knowledge of Big Data concepts
• Commercial experience, working with real clients (not only pet-projects or RnD or Internships)
