Description & Requirements

Bloomberg News, one of the biggest financial and business news organizations in the world, is looking for an experienced reporter to work with our Ukraine team to produce agenda-setting stories that will make readers sit up and take notice.

Based in Kyiv, you’ll help drive our coverage of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s efforts to repel Russia’s invasion, as well as the economic and investment impact of the attack on Ukraine and the wider region. You’ll cover Zelenskiy’s evolving battlefield strategy, the diplomatic push to secure additional allied support and efforts to shape Donald Trump’s dealings with the Kremlin. You'll have a keen interest in the intersection of government, economics and business, and frame Ukraine’s story for a professional global audience.

Your ability to develop sources with Ukrainian officials and executives will help us to deliver scoops out of Kyiv and cross-check intel with our reporters around the world. At the center of a conflict that resonates far beyond Ukraine's borders, you'll also be expected to go deep with analysis and features putting the news into context. In short, the ideal candidate must have an ability to exercise excellent news judgement on everything from breaking news to scoops and in-depth enterprise.

You'll Need To Have

• A track record in political, economic or business journalism
• Experience working in Ukraine at a real-time news organization
