Senior Platform Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Platform Engineer to take ownership of the design, development, and optimization of our internal platforms.

This role plays a key part in enabling our teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions, with a strong focus on empowering developers through self-service capabilities, automation, and streamlined workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal platforms to support self-service deployment, monitoring, and management of applications
• Develop tools, frameworks, and libraries to standardize workflows and promote best practices
• Foster integration of development tools and services into the platform ecosystem to enhance developer productivity
• Improve platform usability by ensuring tools are well-documented and easy to adopt
• Drive improvements in platform availability, reliability, and performance
• Use DORA metrics to measure and enhance DevOps performance across key areas
• Introduce emerging technologies to optimize platform capabilities and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to facilitate platform adoption and seamless workflows
• Address platform-related challenges with technical expertise and proactive solutions
• Support system stability by troubleshooting and optimizing across various layers

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in platform engineering or closely related roles
• Strong understanding of software development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep, as well as GitOps tools including Flux or ArgoCD
• Familiarity with tools and technologies like Crossplane, Pulumi, or AWS ACK
• Expertise in leveraging Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) like Backstage, Humanitec, or OpsLevel
• Background in high availability, high performance, multi-data center, or hybrid cloud architectures
• Scripting proficiency in Bash/Shell or Python to develop automation solutions
• Capability to troubleshoot complex technical issues spanning diverse system layers
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken

Nice to have

• Background in implementing Crossplane, Pulumi, or AWS ACK for infrastructure management
• Knowledge of crafting and deploying IDPs with platforms like Backstage or Humanitec
• Familiarity with using DORA metrics to guide and improve development processes
• Capability to optimize hybrid cloud systems for reliability, scalability, and performance
• Skills in creating developer-centric documentation and training materials for platform tools
