Description

Development & maintenance of the content management services (frontend and backend) for an international broadcasting company headquartered in New York, US. The company owns several television channels/brands, developed state-of-the-art TV streaming applications for Android TV, Android Mobile, Apple TV, and Fire TV platforms, and wants to improve its content management services.

Requirements

We’re excited if you have

• 4+ years of development experience building backend services
• Good culture fit and excellent team player
• Strong level knowledge of Node.js, Typescript, JavaScript (jQuery, React, etc.)
• Knowledge of the latest open standards and web technologies
• Experience with AWS (SQS, SNS, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Batch, CloudWatch)
• Experience with RESTful APIs & Microservices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  
  
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with PHP 7/8
• Experience with Next.js
• Experience with any of CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Magento, etc.)
• E-commerce experience or analytics or authentication & identity services
  
  
  

Working hours:

This position requires the candidate to provide an overlap with the EST (New York) timezone by working daily until 20:00 Kyiv time (GMT+2).

Job responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build innovative features in the media domain areas
• Code, test, document and deliver features in the Content Management domain with high-performance and availability in mind
• Enhance existing and create new features using JavaScipt, and Node.js both for frontend and backend
• Participate in Agile development process, including scoping, technical design, estimation effort, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, maintenance and support
• Collaborate with program managers, marketing, designers, and QA engineers
