About GlobalLogic and the EMEA Legal Team

The team provides legal support for our offices in 11 countries of the region: Croatia, Germany, Israel, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and Ukraine.

Requirements

Qualifications & experience

Education: Required degree in Ukrainian law. An additional law degree in an EU country is welcome.

Experience:

Required: 5-7 years of total professional legal experience in Ukraine. Must possess law firm experience.

Preferred: Experience as an in-house lawyer, preferably within a multinational corporation; working for IT or technology companies; working with a geographically dispersed team.

Expertise:

Ukrainian legal generalist expertise is required.

Experience working with vendor contracts and supporting the procurement function.

Solid experience with employment matters is a must. Experience with other staffing arrangements, including GIG and PE contracts, and Diia City legislation, is welcome.

Experience with EU legal matters will be an advantage.

Languages: Full professional proficiency (spoken and written) in Ukrainian and English. The EMEA Legal Team operates almost exclusively in English. Fluency in other European languages is a plus, preferably Polish, Slovak, Croatian, Romanian, German or Swedish is welcome.

Job responsibilities

The Role

The successful candidate will be a critical contributor to the legal function in the whole region, providing comprehensive legal advice and support across a variety of regional legal matters, with a particular emphasis on our Ukrainian operations.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with both the EMEA and global legal teams, as well as with various business stakeholders around the globe.

Key Responsibilities

General legal advisory: Providing timely and high-quality legal support to other internal departments, reviewing complex legal queries, and offering clear, actionable legal recommendations.

Employment law & other staffing arrangements: Supporting employment law matters, including contracting, terminations, disputes, workplace policies, and regulatory compliance. Support of Diia City-specific matters, including GIG contracts, and of PE contracts.

Procurement and vendor management: Vendor contracts’ review, supporting procurement function, conducting legal due diligence, and vendor screening to ensure compliance and manage risk.

Compliance & risk management: Ensuring compliance with applicable national and international laws and regulations. Tracking changes in relevant legislation.

Documentation & policy development: Drafting, reviewing, and developing internal policies, procedures, and other legal documents to support business operations and maintain compliance.

Knowledge management: Contributing to the development of legal resources, templates, and self-service tools to improve efficiency and enable the business to handle routine matters independently.

Global collaboration: Supporting colleagues within the EMEA and global legal teams as required, fostering a collaborative, worldwide legal function.
