Cash Coordinator, Kyiv/Dnipro

The Charity Foundation “NEW WAY” is a non-profit non-governmental organization working in the field of humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and development. Our main focus is the implementation of projects in the areas of WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene). 

To implement Cash projects for Ukraine, NEW WAY is looking for a Cash Coordinator based in Kyiv city. The work will be carried out along the front line and the border with the russian federation (the so-called "crescent").

Generic Responsibilities:

• Line management of Cash project field staff
• Adherence to NW policies, guidance and procedures
• Contribute to Cash project proposals and provide input on needs and gaps, considering where appropriate the role of cash-based interventions and market-based programs
• Manage and implement delegated portfolio of Cash projects (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated from Program Manager in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements, and ensure high technical quality
• Provide regular progress reports to Program Manager 
• Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and assess new and better ways to assist
• Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities
• Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
• Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders

Specific Responsibilities: 

• Developing beneficiaries’ selection criteria
• Developing cash strategy activities, tools and plans.
• Ensure reconciliation delivery documentation is updated in accordance with project and donor requirements
• Providing cash technical supervision and guidance to field staff
• Revision and supervision of budget and implementation plans

Required background and competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, or any related field
• Experience working on Cash and/or Livelihoods project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context
• Previous experience working in complex and volatile environments
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Context-related skills, knowledge and experience

Would be an advantage:

• Experience with market assessment approaches 
• Experience with small-scale income-generation activities 
• Experience with community-based projects/activities 
• Experience working with vulnerable groups; able to demonstrate conflict-sensitivity, compassion, discretion
• Skills in monitoring and evaluation 
• Experience with multi-sectoral and integrated Cash and Livelihoods programming
• Professional knowledge of cash transfer modalities/systems
• Familiarity with the UN Cluster system and response coordination mechanisms
