Role Description

  • We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer / Data Platform Engineer with strong .NET backend development experience and hands-on expertise in cloud-based distributed systems, search platforms, and data processing pipelines.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with .NET / C#, Azure cloud architecture, Apache Solr, Apache Spark, Airflow, and Kubernetes, contributing to scalable backend services, data workflows, and search optimization solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET / C#
  • Work with cloud-based architecture, preferably within Microsoft Azure
  • Build and optimize search solutions using Apache Solr
  • Design schemas, indexing strategies, and search performance improvements
  • Develop and maintain data processing jobs using Apache Spark with Scala or Python
  • Build, schedule, and monitor data workflows using Apache Airflow
  • Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot distributed systems and data pipelines
  • Collaborate with engineering, data, DevOps, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Support performance tuning, reliability improvements, and production issue resolution

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of strong backend development experience with .NET / C#
  • Experience with cloud architecture, preferably Azure
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Solr, including schema design, indexing, and search optimization
  • Experience building data processing jobs with Apache Spark using Scala or Python
  • Experience with Apache Airflow
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads
  • Experience working with cloud environments, preferably Azure
  • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot distributed systems and data pipelines
  • Good understanding of scalable backend architecture and system reliability

Nice to Have

  • Experience building search platforms for e-commerce
  • Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana for analytics and reporting
  • Experience with Azure Fabric
  • Experience designing data pipelines and analytics workflows
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and infrastructure automation
