GlobalLogic is looking for an experienced legal counsel to join its growing Legal Department to support global data privacy compliance matters.

The main responsibilities will cover:

• Providing data privacy compliance support for other departments, reviewing related queries, coordinating inputs from other global privacy team members where needed.
• Supporting various audits from the data privacy documentation perspective – most importantly those run by our clients and certification bodies.
• Coordinating annual reviews of global privacy documentation.
• Handling various types of global Data Subject Requests.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Law degree in Ukraine. An additional law degree in an EU country is welcome.
• At least 5-7 years of total professional legal experience in Ukraine. Must possess law firm experience.
• Experience working with Ukrainian data privacy law.
• English language full professional proficiency, spoken and written – the team is working exclusively in English.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and jurisdictions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize them. Must be responsible and conscientious.
• Dedication to quality and reliability in all work tasks.
• Team player, able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  
  
  

Preferences:

• General understanding of GDPR and AI Act.
• Experience with global data privacy and AI matters.
• Experience working with a geographically dispersed team / in a multinational company.
• Experience working as an in-house lawyer.

Job responsibilities

• Providing data privacy compliance support for other departments, reviewing related queries, coordinating inputs from other global privacy team members where needed.
• Supporting various audits from the data privacy documentation perspective – most importantly those run by our clients and certification bodies.
• Continuously assessing the compliance of GL Privacy program with legal requirements and business needs, recommending improvements as necessary.
• Coordinating annual reviews of global privacy documentation.
• Maintaining detailed records of privacy documents, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely submission. Providing regular updates to legal department management on progress and any compliance issues that arise.
• Developing privacy policies and other related documents.
• Tracking changes in applicable legislation.
• Carrying out other tasks to support colleagues within the global legal team, as required.
• Handling various types of global Data Subject Requests.
