Senior Ruby Developer

We are looking for a Senior Ruby Developer to build and expand APIs and services within our Payments team. You will work alongside other engineers, product owners, designers, business representatives and external partners to maintain a platform that securely incorporates new payment providers and builds new functionalities. We operate remote-first and prioritize the team over individuals, value innovative problem-solving, and strive for operational efficiency.

Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand APIs and services for the payments platform
• Collaboration with engineers, product owners, designers, business representatives and external partners
• Maintenance of a platform to securely incorporate new payment providers
• Development of new functionalities for the payments ecosystem
• Use of tools like Prometheus, Sentry and Kibana for application monitoring and operational intelligence
• Contribution to innovative problem solving across the team
• Drive operational efficiency within the development process

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in Ruby and React Native
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Sentry and Kibana for application monitoring and operational intelligence
• Capability to work in a remote-first environment
• Understanding of building and expanding APIs and services
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
• Skills in TypeScript
• Familiarity with PHP
