You will operate where analytical rigor meets interpersonal effectiveness. In one moment, you will review performance metrics to identify risk patterns early and support placement decisions with sound rationale. In the next, you will engage directly with a student to diagnose misunderstanding in the moment and guide them forward before minor issues compound into significant setbacks. This is an outcome-driven role, not a passive support function. You own results.

What You Will Be Doing

• Evaluate student performance data to generate clear, actionable academic insights that drive timely intervention decisions
• Take full accountability for academic results within your assigned student cohort, including decisions on placement, assessments, and corrective actions
• Facilitate rapid academic recovery sessions that pinpoint underlying issues and eliminate learning barriers in real time
• Deliver post-assessment coaching to distinguish between conceptual misunderstanding and execution errors, then assign focused follow-up actions
• Work closely with academic leadership and family engagement teams to escalate concerns and refine operational tools or workflows

• Operating exclusively in back-office roles with no direct student contact
• Delegating academic responsibility to teachers, tutors, or families
• Delivering generalized tutoring without specific diagnostic intent

Academic Intervention Specialist Key Responsibilities

Provide precise, timely academic analysis and direct student interventions that demonstrably improve learning velocity and outcomes for your assigned student group.

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 1 year in a coaching, instructional, or training capacity with documented outcomes or formal feedback
• Minimum 1 year of sustained, hands-on work with K–8 students (sporadic tutoring does not meet this requirement)
• Proven background in data science, education, EdTech, or student support combining analytical and relational responsibilities
• Full fluency in spoken and written Ukrainian and English
• Advanced capability in Google Sheets, including VLOOKUP, filtering, pivot tables, and data visualization
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to establish rapport quickly with students and families
• Documented use of AI tools to analyze data or streamline processes with quantifiable efficiency improvements

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
