Delivery Manager

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of embedded software development and maintenance programs. In this role, you will manage multiple customer engagements, drive project execution from initiation through delivery, and ensure projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, hardware, and customer stakeholders while fostering long-term client relationships and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software development and maintenance projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Define project scope, execution plans, milestones, resource requirements, and delivery roadmaps.
• Drive project execution using Agile, Scrum, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
• Monitor project performance through KPIs, dashboards, governance meetings, and regular status reporting.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues proactively, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with customer processes, quality standards, security requirements, and organizational best practices.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product Management, Hardware, and other supporting teams.
• Support project estimation, capacity planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency, engineering excellence, and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor project managers, technical leads, and engineering teams to promote collaboration and professional growth.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solution reviews, effort estimation, proposal preparation, and customer presentations.
• Coordinate with external vendors and partners when required to ensure successful project execution.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience managing embedded software development projects throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional, geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and customer-facing skills.
• Experience with project planning, risk management, budgeting, resource planning, and financial tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to delivery challenges.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or similar.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects within the automotive, industrial, medical devices, telecommunications, or semiconductor domains.
• Knowledge of embedded software development processes, software quality standards, and functional safety practices.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience supporting business development and pre-sales engagements.
