About The Role
We are looking for a Junior Product Application Engineer (Pre-Sales) Engineer for AVEVA solutions to support the sales team, partners, and customers during the early stages of software solution development. The role focuses on collecting technical requirements, preparing initial solution concepts, supporting product demonstrations, and developing clear technical inputs for AVEVA-based proposals. This position is suitable for an engineer who wants to grow in industrial software, digital transformation, SCADA/HMI, historians, operations management, and data-driven industrial applications.

We are looking for a Junior Product Application Engineer (Pre-Sales) Engineer for AVEVA solutions to support the sales team, partners, and customers during the early stages of software solution development. The role focuses on collecting technical requirements, preparing initial solution concepts, supporting product demonstrations, and developing clear technical inputs for AVEVA-based proposals. This position is suitable for an engineer who wants to grow in industrial software, digital transformation, SCADA/HMI, historians, operations management, and data-driven industrial applications.
What You Will Do
- Pre-sales support: Assist the sales team during the pre-sales stage by preparing technical inputs, clarifying customer requirements, and supporting the development of AVEVA-based techno-commercial proposals.
- Technical advisory: Collect and structure customer needs, process descriptions, existing architecture information, and integration requirements to support the preparation of initial technical concepts.
- Solution adaptation: Assist in selecting and configuring AVEVA software components, estimating basic system architecture, preparing bill-of-materials inputs, and validating technical assumptions.
- New product introduction: Prepare and maintain demo environments, sample applications, presentations, and simple proof-of-concept scenarios for customer meetings, training sessions, exhibitions, and partner enablement activities.
- Documentation and technical alignment: Coordinate technical questions with licensing, R&D, product support, and regional experts when additional clarification is required for solution design or proposal preparation.
- Market and competitor analysis: Collect basic information on customer applications, competitor solutions, and market requirements to help build relevant and competitive AVEVA value propositions.
- Training delivery: Conduct training sessions, seminars, and technical workshops for internal teams, partners, and end customers.
- Internal engagement: Participate in internal meetings, development programs, and company events to enhance professional skills and overall effectiveness.
- Higher technical education in automation, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial IT, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in industrial automation, industrial software, system integration, technical support, or application engineering.
- Basic knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, and manufacturing/process automation principles.
- Basic understanding of AVEVA portfolio concepts, such as AVEVA PI System, AVEVA System Platform, InTouch HMI, Historian, MES/MOM, reporting, and data visualization.
- Basic understanding of SQL databases, Windows Server environments, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity principles would be an advantage.
- Ability to collect and structure customer requirements and translate them into technical inputs for solution design.
- Good communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work closely with sales teams, partners, system integrators, end customers, R&D, licensing, and technical support teams.
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
