The Opportunity

Claims Specialist is responsible for the accurate registration, assessment, and processing of insurance claims, ensuring timely and fair claim decisions and payments while delivering high-quality service to customers and business partners across Ukraine. This role supports MetLife's mission of helping customers navigate life's uncertainties by providing professional claims handling, maintaining compliance with internal procedures, and fostering trust through effective communication with clients, partners, and external institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and process insurance claims in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Verify claim documentation and request additional information when necessary.
• Communicate with customers, healthcare providers, and business partners regarding claim status and requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely claim decisions while maintaining high service standards.
• Maintain complete and accurate records in claims management systems.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support the achievement of operational performance targets.
  
  

Required Qualifications

Education

• Higher education degree, preferably in Medicine, Healthcare, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
  

Work Experience

• Previous experience in insurance, claims administration, medical claims review, customer service, or a related area is preferred.
• Experience in handling customer inquiries, reviewing documentation, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders will be an advantage.
• Motivated candidates without prior claims-handling experience are welcome to apply if they demonstrate strong learning agility and a commitment to professional growth.
  
  

Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of insurance principles, claims handling processes, and policy provisions.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate claim documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional correspondence with customers, healthcare providers, and business partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience working with CRM or claims management systems.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make balanced, evidence-based decisions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of accuracy when working with large volumes of information and documentation.

• Professional certifications in insurance, claims management, or healthcare administration would be considered an advantage.
