Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary**

Ensure the quality and reliability of data software products through comprehensive testing, defect identification, and adherence to quality assurance best practices.

Job Responsibilities**

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and design specifications.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, track, and retest software defects using designated defect tracking systems.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand software architecture, functionality, and potential areas for quality improvement.
• Participate in design reviews, requirements analysis, and other project meetings to provide quality assurance input.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Generate test reports, summarize test results, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and quality objectives.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in software quality assurance.
  
  

Job Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a similar role.
• Proven experience with various testing methodologies and techniques.
• Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies is desirable.
• Experience with embedded systems or manufacturing software a plus.
