Description

Our Customer is one of the biggest companies on the market of home entertainment consumer electronics devices that strives to provide their clients with high-quality products and services.

Project goals include testing various media apps with video and audio content, and other services available via digital media players and smart TVs; providing testing results to the Customer for decision-making; and working with media app certifications.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Strong hands-on Manual QA experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating a QA team.
• Experience setting up or improving QA processes.
• Strong ability to gather, analyze, clarify and document requirements.
• Experience working with distributed/international teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
• Ability to take ownership, make decisions and drive things to completion.
• Good understanding of Agile or iterative software development practices.
  
  
  

Job responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manual testing of media applications and services across Smart TVs and digital media devices.
• Test video and audio content, playback and other key media functionality.
• Perform channel/application testing and prepare testing results for clients and partners.
• Participate in daily, planning and coordination meetings across several teams.
• Act as a key communication point between the client and the QA teams.
• Gather, analyze and clarify requirements, identify gaps and translate them into clear testing activities.
• Coordinate QA activities and distribute tasks across a distributed team.
• Monitor testing progress, help remove blockers and make sure activities are completed on time.
• Run automated test suites regularly and analyze their results, working closely with automation engineers.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, testing approaches and team practices.
• Take ownership of quality-related activities and drive them through to completion.
