Description

Our customer is an international company with offices in more than 20 countries and headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the largest Tier 1 semiconductor and microcontroller vendors for automotive, industrial, home electronics, and other industries worldwide. The Company is cooperating with the world’s biggest car manufacturers, providing them with high-quality, cutting-edge, and comprehensive integrated cockpit and automotive computing platforms.

The team at GlobalLogic is providing a full-cycle R&D service to the customer. The main responsibility is the bring-up of the latest versions of the Android OS on customer-specific hardware, including system requirements analysis, new feature development, bug fixing, system integration, validation, and customer support.

Requirements

• BA or Master’s degree in computer science
• Strong programming experience in C
• Good knowledge of Linux, including experience in the development of Linux
• Experience in embedded software development
• Highly motivated, a fast learner, and autonomous
• Intermediate spoken and written English
  
  
  

Desired skills:

• Experience with testing/developing for embedded systems will be a major plus
• Knowledge of one or several scripting or programming languages (C/C++/Python, etc.)
• Understanding of principles of different SDLCs
  
  
  

Job responsibilities

Contribute to the vendor-specific platform bring-up

Contribute to fixing Linux kernel-related defects.

Contribute to the performance analysis and optimization of the existing system.

Participate in the resolution of hypervisor-related defects
