Job Description

Tulip Tech is a Dutch manufacturer of high-performance batteries for drones. Its technology enables UAVs to fly 30–100% longer than with standard batteries and is already used by Ukrainian military units and leading UAV companies. The company is rapidly scaling its operations in Ukraine, the Netherlands, across Europe, and the United States, with a mission to strengthen European security and support Ukraine's fight for independence.

As PR Manager in Ukraine, you will be responsible for building and strengthening Tulip Tech's external presence in the Ukrainian market.

You will own PR, media relations and external communications, while also taking the lead on events, conferences and other opportunities where Tulip Tech is represented externally.

This is a hands-on role with significant ownership. You will work closely with the commercial and leadership teams in Ukraine and with colleagues in the Netherlands to make sure our messaging is clear, consistent and relevant to the market.

What You Will Achieve

• Develop and execute Tulip Tech's PR approach in Ukraine and strengthen our visibility across the UAV, defence and technology ecosystem.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, industry organisations and other relevant external stakeholders.
• Identify PR opportunities and create press releases, media stories, interviews, announcements and other external communication materials.
• Lead Tulip Tech's participation in Ukrainian events, conferences, exhibitions and industry gatherings, from planning and coordination through on-site representation.
• Work closely with commercial and leadership teams to communicate customer successes, partnerships, product developments and important company milestones.
• Support selected marketing and communication activities, including social media, content and promotional materials in coordination with the wider Tulip Tech organisation.
• Represent Tulip Tech professionally at events, media engagements and external meetings and ensure consistent messaging across all external communication.
  
  

Job Requirements

What we are looking for

• 4+ years of experience in PR, media relations, communications, journalism or a related field.
• Strong experience working with journalists, media outlets and external stakeholders, including handling press enquiries and interviews.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical topics into clear and engaging communication.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills and the confidence to represent Tulip Tech professionally with media, partners and industry stakeholders.
• Experience organising and coordinating events, conferences, exhibitions or other external activities.
• Proactive and independent working style, comfortable owning the PR function in Ukraine and building processes from the ground up.
• Fluent in Ukrainian and C1 English, both written and spoken.
  
  

Nice to have

• Background in journalism, media, corporate communications or public relations.
• Experience within defence, UAVs, aerospace, technology, engineering or another technical industry.
• Existing network within Ukrainian media, technology or defence-related organisations.
• Experience working with international companies or coordinating communications across multiple countries.
• Experience with social media, content creation or digital marketing.
• Experience supporting senior leaders with interviews, speaking opportunities or media preparation.
• Experience organising large industry events, exhibitions or conferences.
