About the Opportunity

• On behalf of our client, an established international healthcare and pharmaceutical group with a diverse portfolio of branded finished products, we are seeking an experienced, commercially driven Country Manager/Business Unit Director to lead and scale operations in Ukraine.

This role requires a commercial leader with deep expertise in Sales, Marketing, and P&L management within the Ukrainian pharmaceutical sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute commercial strategy, sales plans, and marketing initiatives to expand market share across Ukraine.


• P&L Management: Oversaw local budget allocation, operational performance, profitability, and resource management.


• Commercial Operations: Lead sales teams, trade marketing, distributor relations, and key account interactions across hospital, retail, and tender channels.


• Market Expansion: Identify new product opportunities, optimize distribution networks, and navigate regulatory dynamics.


• Team Governance: Build, motivate, and direct field force and head-office staff to deliver top-line revenue targets.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years of progressive commercial leadership (Country Manager, Business Unit Head, Commercial Director, or Senior Sales & Marketing Lead) within the pharmaceutical industry.


• Market Knowledge: Proven track record and deep understanding of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market, distributor landscape, and local regulatory environment.


• Commercial Expertise: Strong hands-on background in launching products, driving Sales & Marketing initiatives, and growing market share.


• Language Proficiency: Working knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian is required; professional working proficiency in English is essential.


• Location & Mobility: Based in Ukraine or open to returning/relocating to Kyiv to manage operations on the ground.
