Senior delivery manager (AI Practice)

We are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to join our growing AI Practice, leading delivery planning for high-value opportunities and taking ownership of projects once they are won.

In this practice-level role, you will help shape proposals, ensure delivery commitments are realistic, and lead projects from kickoff through execution. You will work closely with practice leadership and represent them when needed, supporting a portfolio of long-term enterprise clients and new accounts planned for 2027.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery side of high-value pursuits from intake to signed SOW: shape scope and engagement model, build estimates and team plans, and flag feasibility and delivery risks early, knowing you will deliver what you sign.
• Run the internal intake for each new high-value pursuit and agree the seed team (architect, tech lead, DM) with the engineering and staffing leads.
• Lead won projects as DM from discovery and start-up to completion: own the plan, scope and change control, risks, budget and margin, team and client relationship until the project closes.
• Represent the practice in project governance: kick-offs, internal discovery and architecture reviews, steering committees and phase-gate risk reviews.
• Contribute to the practice’s delivery standards for AI and data projects.
  
  

Requirements

• 8+ years in delivery management, including leading several data, ML or LLM-based projects end to end and being accountable for more than one project or workstream at a time.
• Presales delivery experience: has shaped scope, delivery approach, estimates and team plans for proposals and SOWs together with sales and architects, and has defended them with the client.
• Has run fixed-price or deliverable-based engagements, including discovery phases, change control, delivery risk and margin.
• Can hold a working conversation with architects about RAG, agentic systems, model evaluation and data pipelines, and explain the trade-offs and risks to business stakeholders.
• Has run steering committees and handled escalations with client directors and VPs.
• Has led distributed teams across time zones, including staffing new teams and coaching other managers.
• Has introduced a delivery standard across several projects or teams (for example estimation guidelines, phase-gate checklists or a delivery playbook), got managers to adopt it, and used project data to show where it worked.

• Hands-on use of AI-assisted engineering practices in delivery (agentic coding, AI-enabled SDLC).
• Delivery of large data platform projects (migration or modernisation, cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake).
• Projects in industrial, robotics or simulation settings.
• Prior portfolio or practice-level role: delivery governance, risk management across projects, DM pool coaching.
