Description

Broadband team works on 2nd generations of Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) Cable Access products: actively developing the industry’s first software-based CCAP solution (“Cable OS”) and cloud native CMTS.

These solutions allow to cable operator companies to deliver the IP-based data, video, and voice services to millions of customers. Focus is given to CableOS which will allow to get rid of the existing HW equipment and to migrate to the cloud, saving customers the enormous expenses for the support of HW network equipment.

The system is based on microservice architecture and is running on the general purpose CPUs. It doesn’t require using ASICs and make possible to run the SW both on the bare metal servers as well as on the private cloud infostructure. CableOS is a pioneer in DOCSIS software defined networking (SDN) with all the benefits it gives to the service providers.

GlobalLogic team is involved in development, manual and automated testing, as well as in solution integration at customers’ headend and further technical support 24/7 with providing professional services for Customers.

Requirements

• 0+ years of experience
• B.Sc. / current student of higher courses in computer science or Radio/Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications or similar field
• Understanding and knowledge of computer networks and L2/L3 networking protocols
• Basic hands-on experience with Linux command-line
• Understanding of testing theory (test types, test cases, bug reports etc.)
• Intermediate level of English
• High level of interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with different groups.
  
  
  

Would be a plus:

• Experience in SQA/Software testing
• Experience in Linux/Network administration
• Experience with the following tools: TestRail, Jenkins, Jira
• Experience in virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, etc.)
  
  
  

Job responsibilities

• Active collaboration with mentor and other team members
• Deep involvement in the commercial project workflow and practical tasks
• Test (functional/non-functional) complex embedded system which involve HW and SW components
• Analyze requirements, write/execute test cases/test plans, report bugs.
• Debug and troubleshoot setup issues
• Work in agile mode as a member of scrum team
