Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Automation QA Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of test automation principles and a strong desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for contributing to the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts, supporting CI pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain new and existing test automation scripts.
• Support the design and maintenance of CI pipelines for various testing types (e.g., smoke, regression).
• Contribute to the improvement and refactoring of the existing test automation framework (WebdriverIO).
• Assist in developing new reusable methods/utilities as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Programming Language: Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• API Testing: Hands-on experience with API testing tools/libraries such as Axios, Postman, REST-assured, or Supertest. Ability to validate RESTful endpoints, including authentication flows, status codes, payload validation, and error handling.
• UI/Web Automation Testing: Experience with one or more frameworks: WebdriverIO, Playwright, or Selenium (WebdriverIO is a strong plus). Solid understanding of element selectors, wait strategies, test structuring, and cross-browser testing.
• Database (DB) Interaction: Experience working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases. Ability to set up DB connections and perform CRUD operations for test setup and data verification.
• CI/CD Integration: Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Ability to maintain existing pipelines and contribute to creating/updating new pipelines for various test stages.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git, including branching strategies, pull request workflows, and conflict resolution.
• Test Management Tools: Experience using Jira, TestRail, or similar systems for test case management and bug tracking.
• Documentation & Collaboration: Experience working with Confluence or similar tools to document test plans, maintain QA knowledge bases, and collaborate cross-functionally with development and product teams.
• Communication: English level B2 or higher – comfortable with daily communication with the customer (both written and spoken)

• Basic understanding of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Artillery).
• Familiarity with Allure reporting or other test result visualization tools.
