Requirements
We are looking for a motivated Trainee QA Engineer to join our team and work closely with a Senior QA on a live project. This role is designed for fast growth: you will start under guidance but are expected to quickly take full ownership of the QA process on the project.
The position involves primarily manual testing, with a clear opportunity and expectation to grow into test automation over time.
This role operates in a flexible work model with remote collaboration across Ukraine and occasional team syncs.
Must:
Technical or IT-related education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is a must)
Basic understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies
Strong willingness to learn and quickly grow into an independent QA role
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with developers and stakeholders
Basic understanding of SDLC
Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English
Proactivity
Nice to have:
Basic knowledge of any programming language (JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.)
Familiarity with test management or bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
Understanding of test automation fundamentals
Job responsibilities
Work under the guidance of a Senior QA Engineer and be ready to quickly take ownership of the project
Execute manual test cases and document results
Identify, document, and track bugs in the system
Participate in requirements analysis and help define test scenarios
Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes
Perform regression testing to ensure system stability
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation (test cases, checklists, etc.)
Prepare test data and support test environment setup
Gradually take responsibility for the full QA process on the project
Learn and start contributing to test automation activities over time
